Well, my run went even worse than I thought-- I didn't even make it up for it; I chose mid-way through the night to scratch the plan. (In my defense, I was totally exhausted and was worried that getting up and trying to run would make me sick. Plus, I got my period during the night and was cramping pretty badly. So there you go.)
In the future, I vow to only report run-relevant information AFTER I actually run.
And, so, speaking of that:
Today I ran on the treadmill at the gym, doing the 1:1 routine that I was supposed to do with SFRRC Running 101 on Saturday. I did it for 30 minutes, which came out to about 2.3 miles. I need to be faster on both the run and walk times in the future, because I don't want to be running forever and I'd like to get up to 3 miles.
I ran at about 7 p.m., after lifting weights. Perhaps not surprisingly, I found the run itself fairly easy-- I can tell that I've gotten in better shape over the past month or so. (Yay!) I was definitely sweating and tired and all, but there was no worry that I wasn't going to make it-- and, in fact, I actually quite enjoyed the workout. It was probably so smooth because I'd gotten plenty of sleep, been up for a few hours already (got up at about 1 today, so had been up for 6 hours), had eaten a sandwich (maybe some gazpacho, too-- now I can't remember) a couple of hours before, and had had plenty of water. Check, check, check, check.

'Twas the night before running...
Okay, so this is my first pre-running post. I'm not going to do anything fancy, just lay it all out for the record (and, hopefully, for my future elucidation on what makes me run better):
Food night before: After working out (see below), I ate a baked potato and a few pieces of sushi.
Sleep night before: Probably not much (but I'll tell you tomorrow). It's 12:40 as I write this, and I'm not anywhere close to going to bed. I'll probably get 3 or 4 hours of sleep.
Exercise night before: Worked out HARD with both cardio and weights tonight-- between 9:30 and 11 p.m. I'm thinking that this will really leave me wiped tomorrow morning.
We'll see...
